Collective Summer Haul

Ever since Christmas, I have been saving up my money to spend on things for my upcoming holiday to Mallorca and a couple of weeks ago, the time came to spend it all on a shopping trip to Southampton. I followed my tips I wrote about in my previous post ( ) and managed to get almost everything I needed, so I thought I would show you what I bought.

Stripey body suit

I’ve been wanting to get a bodysuit for ages, just because everybody seems to have one and I wanted to try it before they go out of fashion again. When we went into Zara, I spotted this one and, at first, I wasn’t sure but then I tried it on and loved it. It is quite 70s but I actually really like it. The only problem with this one is that there aren’t any poppers on the crotch bit so if you’re going to the toilet you have to pull it all down, which is slightly annoying.

B&W stripey shorts

These are a simple pair of H&M black and white stripey shorts that would be perfect for throwing on around the pool or on a casual day.

Grey vest top

This just a basic, light grey marl stretchy vest, which I guarantee you, I will wear way too much because it goes with basically everything. I think it would also look super cute with a bralet on underneath.

Khaki playsuit

I wanted to find a lightweight playsuit I could wear in the heat and this one from H&M is perfect. It is very light to wear and a lovely khaki green colour.

Tailored trousers

I am in love with these trousers but they didn’t come out very well in pictures. They are so classy and I can dress them up or down and wear them in summer and winter! I came across them in River Island and tried them on a whim but I actually loved them, I think they will be making quite a few appearances for a long time…–leggings/tapered-trousers/khaki-soft-tie-waist-tapered-trousers-685648

Hoop earrings

I knew that I wanted some new earrings for the summer but I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for until I found these medium sized hoop earrings in Accessorize. I straight away knew I wanted the gold ones but then I looked at the price and they were only £2! So I of course got the silver ones as well. (I can’t find them online but have a look in your local shop).

Silver aviators

Now, I know these sunglasses are a bit out there for me but I thought I would just go for it and channel my non-existent cool side. (I know this is the most cringy photo ever, but you have no idea how hard it was to look even remotely cool).

Face powder

My powder had been on its last legs for a while when I dropped it on the floor and it smashed into a million pieces. This was when I finally decided that it was time to get a new one after god knows how long.

Contouring palette

I loved this as soon as I saw it, it’s one of the latest releases in Kate Moss’ range for Rimmel and it looks amazing! I love the fact she hasn’t added a bad quality mirror or brush and has just kept it simple with the three colours.

Beauty blender

I haven’t yet caved into buying the expensive, original beauty blender but I have heard this one from Real Techniques is good so I thought I would give it a go.

Benefit brow pencil

I didn’t know whether to include this or not because I technically didn’t buy it because it came free in my Elle magazine, but it is an exciting new release so I thought I would pop it in.

Piῆa colada moisturiser

Anybody who knows me, knows that I love piῆa colada so when I saw that The Body Shop had released this range I was soooo excited but I decided not to go crazy and just get the body sorbet which I am very excited to use on holiday.

Black bikini

I already have a couple of patterned bikinis so I wanted to get a plain black one so I could mix and match them. I was looking out for a strapless one but I just love the back on this one (even though it will give me funny tan lines).

Jesus sandals

I am in love with these sandals from Topshop because they are so different to everything I’ve had before and will be so versatile.

I am definitely not a book worm and as much as I try I cannot force myself to like books and read. However, there is one exception to this rule because when I’m on holiday I can actually read quite a lot so I got these three books.

And that’s all the things I got! I now have literally no money left but I’m really happy with what I got.

What’s your favourite thing I bought? Let me know in the comments section below.
