Easy Make Up For School

If you’re anything like me, routine is essential to your school morning. Call me obsessive but I have time allocated to everything I do before school and I give myself only 7 minutes to do my makeup every morning.
When I talk with my friends, some of them tell me they would like to wear makeup to school but haven’t been able to find a way to do it quick enough. So I have created this post showing you how I quickly do my makeup for school!
First things first, moisturise! I think this step is overlooked by lots of people but is so important to keep your skin healthy and hydrated during the day. Adding this into your daily routine will improve your skin and give your makeup a smoother finish. I use this one from Simple, it is very hydrating and it also feels very light on the skin. http://www.boots.com/en/Simple-Kind-To-Skin-Replenishing-Rich-Moisturiser-125ml_8366/
Wait a few seconds for your moisturiser to soak in, then apply a light layer of your favourite BB cream or foundation. I highly recommend the Dream Velvet Foundation from Maybelline. It’s very light on the skin so it barely feels like I’m wearing anything but it somehow stays on all day. It goes on evenly if applied with a brush or with your fingers. http://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Face/Foundation/Maybelline-Dream-Velvet-Matte-Foundation-48-Sun-Beige-30ml/p/601406
Next, I apply a little bit of powder just to set my base and make it stay on through the school day. But make sure not to apply too much or your makeup will look thick. I use the Stay Matte Pressed Powder from Rimmel (sorry about the photo, I’ve had it for quite a while now). http://www.superdrug.com/Rimmel/Rimmel-Stay-Matte-Pressed-Powder-Transparent-1/p/592471
The next thing I do is my eyebrows. I think this is the step when you can save the most time, all I do is brush some brow gel through them to hold their shape. I have quite dark eyebrows but I don’t think filling them in is necessary when you’re going to school. I use the Maybelline Sculpting Brow Mascara. http://www.superdrug.com/Maybelline/Maybelline-Eyebrow-Drama-Transparent/p/250210
Eye shadow is the next thing I do but you could skip this step if you want to. I like to use cream eyeshadow so I don’t need to use any brushes, I can do it all with my fingers. I apply it to my lid with my middle finger then use my index finger to blend it up. On And On Bronze is my favourite shade from the Maybelline Colour Tattoo range. http://www.superdrug.com/Maybelline/Maybelline-Color-Tattoo-Eyeshadow-On-%26-On-Bronze/p/414464
The last step is mascara! I highly recommend using a waterproof one so it doesn’t smudge during the day. I highly recommend the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara because it gives your lashes a really nice lift as well as staying on all day long. http://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eyes/Mascara/Maybelline-Lash-Sensational-Waterproof-Mascara-Very-Black-1/p/348704
And that’s it! Your makeup is done in 7 minutes and you are ready for a long day at school!
