Painting Jam Jars

Today I’m going to show you how to make these super cute painted jam jars. They are a great piece of summer décor and they couldn’t be easier to make. You can also make them personal by choosing different colours and jar shapes. They would make great presents for friends and family or just to have around the house.

All you need are some empty jam jars (with the labels washed off), a paintbrush and some acrylic paints – I got mine from Hobbycraft but you can also get them online and in some big supermarkets.

Choose the colour and jar you want and paint an even layer on the inside of the jar.

All you have to do then is leave it to try for a couple of days then you are good to go!

I found that those tiny little jars you get with jam in, are the perfect size for holding hair slides! It works really well because the slides a bit taller than the jar so they are easy to get out.

A larger jar would be perfect for holding makeup brushes.

As the paint is acrylic, you can’t put water in them so I just filled a smaller jar with water and put it into the bigger one. This worked perfectly and looked super cute on my bedside table!
