While I am writing this post, I’m on the plane and on my way to sunny Mallorca for my summer holiday. It has been a good flight so far – no turbulence or crying babies, just an annoying boy kicking the back of my seat. But in a few hours I will be lying on a sun lounger, soaking up the sun and (fingers crossed) getting a tan. I have a few of exciting holiday themed posts coming up so be prepared!
I am kicking off the holiday posts by showing you what I have in my travel bag. This is quite a condensed version of what I would ideally have but my bag had to weigh 5kg or less so it is pretty much just the essentials.
I wanted to use a relatively big and sturdy bag so I chose this one from Cath Kidston. It has been great so far and I am very glad I chose it!
Denim skirt – I am wearing jeans on the plane so I thought it would be a good idea to bring a skirt so I don’t get too hot when we arrive.
Purse – I bought this brown Fiorelli one because it has lots of compartments for putting money, cards and boarding passes in.
Sunglasses – I haven’t needed them so far but I’m sure the sun will be shining when we land.
Laptop – This is the heaviest thing in my bag but I have been able to get lots done so it was worth it!
Phone – Obviously. Its currently 8am and I have already completed 253 levels of Flow Bridges.
Earphones – I don’t really like headphones especially when traveling so I have these Apple earphones I got with my phone.
Nail varnish – I was planning on painting my nails in the airport but didn’t get round to it but I will do them when we arrive.
Moisturiser – I have this one from Vichy which I chose because it is quite heavy and hydrating which is great because my skin gets quite dry when I fly.
Vaseline – Who doesn’t need Vaseline?
Face wipes – I got these ones from Nivea to wipe my face before I do my make-up.
Make-up – I didn’t feel the need to go OTT with my makeup because I am only going to be traveling all day so I am just going to wear a bit of foundation and mascara.
Reading material – I have an Elle subscription so I brought the July edition with me to read.
Passport – Obviously, I couldn’t go without it
Mints – No one likes smelly aeroplane breath.
